Midwest Moms Motorola Droid Razr Giveaway (Sponsored)

Motorola Droid Razr Giveaway

It's fast. It's fun. It's free!

This month the Verizon “Midwest Moms” were asked to hold a giveaway for a Motorola Droid Razr. I have to admit to feeling awkward giving away an item that I’ve never seen or experienced in person, but I’m also pretty certain that someone is going to be really excited to win this. Plus, CNET had nice things to say about, so here we go.

Details below come straight from the press release though I’ve added a it of colorful commentary.

Motorola Droid Razr is a superslim phone. At just over 1/4 thick, it’s the slimmest smart phone around. It’s got a dual core 1.2 GHz processor making it more powerful than my first home computer back in the day. The phone allows users to load websites, download apps, create a 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot, and it can transfer files from a PC up to 10 times faster than 3G.

Key features for me include that it’s enclosed in Gorilla Glass and has a Kevlar fiber case that protects it from scrapes, dents and scratches. (Seriously cool if you’re as spazzy as I am. Why aren’t all phones made with this?)

It runs on the high speed Verizon 4G LTE network.

It has an 8 MP rear-facing camera and HD video capture unit (no wonder point and shoots are going the way of the dinosaurs). The Droid Razr will automatically optimize your battery, manage your phone, and streamline everyday tasks with DROID RAZR’s Smart Actions app.

Win it!

My first cell phone was the size of my size 9 shoe – and sounded like I was talking through one too! I have no idea what brand it was, but it wasn’t fancy at all. I’d won it from a radio station but lost it when the little girl I nannied for left it on the top of the car and I drove off. With the kid in the car but not the cell phone.

My first cellphone was a very durable and super bulkly Nokia, black and white of course, but it was able to withstand a lot of abuse, I was in school and very active then. The battery life was great, and i remember playing the black and white 1 demensional game… ‘snake’ lol* The cool part was that the cases were easily changeable so everyone had the same phone but different colored cases. neat. :)

I don’t even remember anything about my first cell phone except that it was awful (because it was almost 10 years ago), but I was SO happy to have it. I got it right after my car broke down on a long stretch of highway with no exits for 15 miles on the coldest night of the year around midnight. I took a ride from a semi-truck driver and sat on the edge of the seat with my hand by the door handle so I could jump out if he turned out to be a serial killer. Fortunately, he was very nice & dropped me off at the oasis 15 miles away.

My first cell phone was a Motorola bag phone that was hardwired into the car. Yep, I’m old.

My first *portable* cell phone was one of the blue Nokia candy bar phones that got fantastic reception. It fit just right in my back jeans pocket.

well, my very, very first one was one of those gigantic car phones. it was a deal where it didn’t cost until you used it so i kept it in its box in the trunk of my car. it was only in case i had a breakdown (of the car variety) on the highway. thankfully, i never had to use it. i’m so happy, in comparison, to have my boring old flip open phone now.

Wow! My first cell phone. It was a Nokia–if I weren’t so lazy, I’d try to search for an image. I remember thinking I was so cool, because it was the “new wave” of “slim” Nokias that came out after the initial “smaller” cell phones came out. (My parents had this big, clunky MCI worldcom one with neon green lights lol). It was cute.

    Would love THIS phone!
