Win a Kelty Sleep Eazy Air Mattress

We spent our first night at the house last weekend as part of the National Wildlife Foundation’s Great American Backyard Campout. Except we wimped out and slept inside, ironically due to the amount of wildlife in our yard (SKUNKS! Can you blame us?). We don’t have any bedroom furniture at the house yet, so we had an indoor campout, a camp-in of sorts.

The open windows delivered cool night breezes (as well as the sound of traffic…) as we gathered in one room to sleep camp. Although each boy has a room of his own, those rooms are carpeted and goodness knows the last time the purple shag wall-to-wall got a good cleaning, so everyone gathered in what will be the master bedroom, which has a wood floor.

The boys hunkered down in sleeping bags while Hubs and I camped like old people, which is to say we had an air mattress. Come to think of it, so did the teen, but his air mattress needed to plug into the wall to inflate or deflate. Hubs and I were on a Kelty Sleep Eazy Queen Air Mattress, which I was sent to review and I’m giving away. The queen size air mattress is about 78′ by 60″ and sleeps two when inflated, though, it’s a bit comfier with just one because it’s disruptive when the other person shifts and moves around, and it’s also a bit noisy when someone rolls over.

One thing that makes this item unique, and camper friendly, is the detachable motor, which can be charged via an traditional wall outlet and comes with a car adapter. That makes the air mattress very portable.

Another unique, and some say Earth-friendly, feature is that this durable air mattress is PVC-free.

I’m grateful to Kelty for keeping my tired bones off the hard floor during our endless long pre-reno period. And hopefully, I’ll even take it camping one of these days.
